If it isn't one thing!

We awoke to another rainy day here in Cape Breton, so had a slow start – in fact decided not to do much of anything again - same as yesterday.  Marcel walked up the hill to the swimming pool area and found a laundry room. We decided to catch up on our laundry today as, it will save us time once we are in Little Bras D’or. He drove to the guardhouse to get some quarters for the machines and when he got back into the Vue, it wouldn’t drive properly. It wouldn’t go more than 20 kph. Marcel drove it to the laundry room, started the wash and then tried to figure out what was wrong. By the time the laundry has washed and dried, he still did not know what the problem was, so brought the laundry back to the motor home and then drove the car to the local Ultramar (on Hwy 105 to Baddeck), where he was told they do repairs.

He was back in a very short period of time because the guy there said he could not repair it. He suggested we take it to the GM dealer in Sydney.  We called the dealer and spoke to Wade. He suggested we have the car towed there by our emergency roadside assistance and they would take a look at it first thing Thursday morning and give us a call. Well it was before 3 p.m. when we called Good Sam and the fellow we spoke to, Sterling, (at GS ERS) felt that was too far to tow it, in spite of the fact that we have an unlimited distance for towing. He decided to call around to all the local repair facilities to find one to fix our vehicle. When Marcel called back (almost an hour later) and was speaking with another agent, Sterling called back and said he found a garage in Baddeck that would look at our vehicle. As soon as Marcel said it was a hybrid and likely a warranty issue, then Sterling agreed it should go to Sydney. So, an hour passed before he even contacted a tow company. We were told the tow truck would be here by 5:15.  Well the tow truck finally arrived and took our Saturn away about 6:15.  My post tonight on FB said, it sure would be nice to take a trip and not have anything go wrong.
