We left Pine Tree at approx 8 AM. and took the scenic route along the coast, Hwy 6, which added about 20 minutes to the trip. We went through the towns of Pugwash, Wallace Bay, River John and Tatamagouche.
It was a pretty drive but the road at times was very narrow and there was not much of a shoulder, and at times, no shoulder. We were glad we did it and saw some great scenery but would not drive it again in a motorhome. We then took the 104 and 105 to Baddeck. Pretty drive. The pavement at times was pink – must have something to do with the stone they mix in it.

We arrived at Adventures East Campground around 3PM. We were given site 24 which is very shaded with trees all around. Helps cut the heat down but hell on WIFI and TV reception (4 channels). They gave us the Good Sam rate even though they are not a GS park. $29.70 a night, with 30 AMP and sporadic WI-FI. We will check out park tomorrow to decide whether it is worth staying here again. We shopped at an Atlantic Superstore before arriving at the park to get a few supplies. Marcel could not believe the prices. Everything is far more expensive than at home. We bought some flour to make bread. We made two loaves in our new B&D food processor and cooked it in our convection oven. They came out great. We no sooner hooked up water and Marcel heard water dripping outside the slide window. When he investigated, he found the water pressure had popped one of our lines. He fixed it and put a pressure regulator on the hose. We had BBQ ribs for dinner tonight – previously cooked and frozen at home.
